EXHIBITIONSous les pavés la plageApril 12 - May 17, 2018

Daniel Boeri is pleased to present the new exhibition designed by Gino Gianuizzi at l’Entrepôt – Daniel Boeri.

"Sous les pavées, la plage !"

Taking one of May 68’s slogans, a situationist drift, Wolfgang Weileder and Cédric Tesseire, two artists dear to Gino Gianuizzi, examine the visible. While they’re questioning their support, these two artists highlight the invisible and let the spectator witness their own wishes.

On one hand, Wolfgang Weileder, through his large format photographic works, questions the notion of space-time, and the limits between figuration and abstraction. Captivating and fascinating, they bring the spectator to the most total contemplation.

While Cédric Teisseire, works paintings composed of colored lines that slide in a straight line. Leaving the process operate on its own, the artist gets rid of subjectivity and affirms the cooling of painting. Of this distance from making, are curiously born sumptuous contemporary icons rereading abstract and minimal art with the outmost elegance and regain a form of aura.

The meeting of these two artists, allows a questioning on the stakes of the representation of the non visible in the contemporary art. The viewer has to get around it better to perceive and understand their visions.

"The depth must be hidden. Where ? On the surface ".
(Hugo Von Hofmannsthal, The Book of Friends, 1922).

Exhibition from April 12 to May 17, 2018.
